New Chapter Zyflamend is an herbal supplement which appears to be a natural remedy for pain related to inflammation, including arthritis, back pain, foot pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis, knee pain, shoulder pain, and fibromyalgia.
Its ingredients are: rosemary, turmeric, ginger, holy basil, green tea, hu zhang, chinese goldthread, barberry, oregano, and baikal skullcap. Although these might seem like pretty simple ingredients, Zyflammend is actually composed of carefully formulated extracts of those herbs.

Zyflamend Side Effects
Out of nearly 246 reviews, there are only 24 reviews that are 3 stars or less. It appears to have few side effects or problems.
A handful of these reviewers said that it bothered their stomach. The product information for New Chapter Zyflamend says to take it in the middle of a larger meal with an 8oz glass of water. This might prevent stomach upset.
One reviewer said that it caused gallbladder problems. I did a search online for turmeric, one of the ingredients in Zyflamend, and found this information by Dr. Winston Craig:“Generally speaking, reports of side effects from the use of turmeric are rare. However, persons with gallstones should exercise caution. The use of turmeric is contraindicated in cases of bile obstruction, since it does stimulate the secretion of bile from the gall bladder.”
New Chapter Zyflamend PM
Zyflammend PM is formulated to help with sleep and inflammation. It contains hops, chamomile, holy basil, melissa, valerian, baikal skullcap, ginger, and turmeric.
One reviewer says that Zyflamend PM works as a nice alternative to prescription sleep medicine (Ambien). Another customer says that they take it for fibromyalgia pain and it helps them with insomnia and waking up in the middle of the night.
The idea of combining a pain reduction medicine with a sleep medicine is not a new idea, but this is one of the few herbal remedies I’ve seen.

Alternatives to Zyflamend
Other Natural Anti-Inflammatory Supplements
Zyflamend is more expensive than buying some of its ingredients separately. However, it’s probably not more expensive than buying ALL of its ingredients separately. Compared to that, it’s a bargain!
However, some people may find that they respond well to taking Turmeric by itself. I recommend the Doctor’s Best brand of Curcumin. Curcumin is an extract of turmeric, and has some pain and inflammation reduction properties.
